Many visitors have found their hearts stolen by the captivating personalities of the cats, as noted by customer Shannon B: “I loved playing with the kitties and getting to know them. It’s a great way to consider adoption or even just to have some kitty play time.”

In addition to engaging with the cats, you can sip on delicious drinks such as lattes and iced hot chocolates, all while browsing an array of cat-themed gifts. I loved playing with the kitties and getting to know them. It's a great way to consider adoption or even just to have some kitty play time. The owner was super nice and have lots of information to help get to know them. Worth the drive. There is coffee, soda and some snacks for those who show up starving and kitty themed gifts.

The Coal Cat Café offers a truly unique and thoughtful concept that combines relaxation with a welcoming environment. The space is exceptionally clean, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the drinks are both affordable and enjoyable. It’s clear that a great deal of care goes into maintaining a positive experience for both visitors and the resident cats. I highly recommend stopping by — it’s a refreshing and enjoyable place to spend time.

I love this little spot! The cats were cute & playful. This was the first cat cafe I went to that actually had drinks available and not just a lil coffee pot. Adorable shop with cat items: pins, bags, stickers, crochet stuff, cat toys, etc. Highly suggest checking them and Jupiters Dust Metaphysical Shop (only 7-10 min walk!)

We were walking by and wanted to grab a cup of coffee. We came in and ended up getting an hour of cat-time ($10/hr) and some lattes. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable. They gave around 10 cats that they get from the rescue and assist in getting the cats adopted/ socialized (and you get cat time). Their cat area is clean with lots of nooks and crannies for the cats. They can fit ~8 people so if you want cat time be sure to book ahead. The coffee was solid and the gift shop area was cute. Next time I'm in tamaqua I'd stop by for the coffee (and the cats are a plus too)!

I really loved my visit here. Here's what I enjoyed: 1. The owners are chatty and friendly. 2. The cat den is huge. It's nice to see the cats well taken care of. 3. Parking was easy to find. It was street parking. 4. There was a small gift shop. I bought a bunch of cat-themed stickers. They also have shirts and cute car air freshners that look like a paw print. 5. It's $10 for 45+ minutes. The owners let my friend and I have an extra 20 minutes since no one else was scheduled immediately after us. 6. All the cats, of all ages and appearances, are able to be adopted! I love the vision of this place. Cons: Coffee was basic, and I felt the term "Cafe" is a bit loose here. I would like to see more coffee syrup options. The coffee is also given to you and you fill the cup with whatever flavor or milk you like, which is fine by me. However, I felt they could've been more creative with the drink names and mixed flavors together to make a signature drink. Of course, this place just opened not long ago, so I'm sure it will grow and critique whatever needs to be changed. Overall, I'd come here again! Thank you for the wonderful experience! I hope all these cute furbabies find their special home!

The trip I took here for my birthday was one of the best experiences I could ask for. From the staff who cares so much about the cats and have endless knowledge of all of them, the coffee being quite tasty and the selection of unique gifts. This place was beyond my expectations. I highly suggest this as a fun little trip!

Came here for my birthday and had the most magical day. The cats were adorable and there was so many toys and treats to play with them. All the cats had different personalities and they seemed so happy. Thank you so much for an amazing experience can’t wait to come back, the iced hot chocolate was also delicious!
